The Kāla Connections Weekend Retreat is a well-deserved gift of time to yourself.
Whitewater Village is a one-of-a-kind resort on the Ottawa River, between Renfrew and Cobden. The resort is made up of eight shared-ownership luxury chalets, on a property adjacent to the new Summerhill Resort. It’s easily accessible from Ottawa, yet makes you feel like you’re a world away from the demands of day-to-day life.
You will enjoy a thoughtfully structured program intended to nurture a deeper connection with yourself, others and nature. This year’s edition will feature of a mix of energizing and gentle yoga classes suited to all levels, accessible meditation and journaling sessions, and other fun group activities. You’ll enjoy freshly prepared meals and social vibe curated by Rocket Social Club, free time for outdoor activities, fireside chats, reading, or relaxing in the beachside sauna.
This year, I am pleased to offer a special session entitled “Building resilience through system regulation” by Valerie Metcalfe, an Ontario Registered Occupational Therapist with over 25 years of experience. She’ll provide an overview of the sympathetic nervous system and offer practical strategies on how to “talk to your system”. Visit her website to learn more about her: valeriemetcalfeot.ca
